Which do you prefer? Land Mines or Cluster Bombs?
Edited on Mon Aug-18-03 11:28 PM by sfecap
Which is more efficient for killing and maiming civilians, (particularly children...)?

Or would you just go with the nuclear solution? Hey, Truman did it! (And tons of DU'ers support it...)

Wes Clark prefers cluster bombs...it's the "Wes Clark gift that keeps on giving...."

He also likes to "help out' law enforcement when they need some military equipment to incinerate Davidians...need a BFV? Just give 'ol Was a call at Ft. Hood! Nevermind that it is patently illegal to use military force on US citizens...Wes is a Patriot!

Think we ought to put a poll up? Cluster bombs vs. mines?

3. The end of the story, as far as international law is concerned:
Edited on Tue Aug-19-03 01:19 AM by tameszu
http://www.cnn.com/2000/WORLD/europe/06/02/UN.war.crimes/">U.N. prosecutor finds no evidence of NATO war crimes in Yugoslavia

And if I were being snitty, I might ask: "Which do you prefer, the 250,000 civilians dead from ethnic cleansing as a result of non-action in Bosnia, or the 800,000 civilians killed by genocide as a result of non-action in Rwanda?"

Or do you prefer the 500 civilians accidentally but no less tragically killed as a result of NATO airstrikes against Serbia?

But I'm supposed to be civil right now, so I will assume that you would have hypothetically approved of timely NATO (or European or African Rapid Reaction Force, if they could have only built them in time) intervention in the first two cases, whether or not they made the mistake of using cluster bombs.

10. I agree
The NATO campaign pales in comparison to what the Serbs were capable of.
Most of the civilians killed were killed by pilot or intel error, and were not Wes Clark's fault.

In every war there are civilian casualties, but I am pretty sure Wes Clark did his best to limit them

4. Actually, I prefer the EN-2000, Enabler Nader missile
After being fired by a power-mad union buster it explodes, unleashing several varieties of megalomaniaclets (such as the Big Dubya, the ChainE and the Wolfawizzer)which efficiently, if indiscriminately, dispatches tens of thousands of evildoers and their evil spawn.

It's effectiveness against heavily armed messiah wannabes who like to sleep with eleven-year-old girls is as yet unproven.

5. how about bombing the fuck out of the rest of the world?
Really, there's too many people on the planet...Especially Bad people...how about bombing them out of existence? Tired of hearing about the French complaining about their "heat wave"? Then bomb them and give them something to really complain about! Consider it payback for Lafayette!

But let's treat the Branch Davidians with velvet gloves of outright dishonesty...after all Wes Clark is directly responsible!
