Post here with ideas on how to end the sniping among all the camps.
Personally, I think people should be more careful about hitting the send button if they are posting out of anger toward candidates they're not supporting (Lieberman excepted, of course ;)).
a normal level of clinical detatchment from the stuff that gets under your skin. If you know there's going to be trouble, go somewhere else. That's what my Mom always taught me. So when I see threads that inflame my sensisbilities, I go read the ones that don't.
It's rather simple really.
I put a long post together on the "something's wrong with DU" thread that's too long to retype and too far down to cut/paste.
If that's your basic message, I heartily agree. It would be nice to self-restraint when people start threads, but barring that, it would be nice to see threads with candidate bashing titles drop like stones because the rest of us don't rise to snatch the bait.
2. Subject titles attacking Democrats or Progressives ought to be off limits
You think you have a first amendment write to provoke fellow lefties here, and you do. But if you engage in that kind of shit, you should know that you yourself are contributing to the decline in the quality of life here at DU. And your fellow DUers shouldn't put up with it.
4. How about a moratorium on threads that compare candidates
Maybe until the fund drive is over, people should make an effort to discuss their own candidates without resorting to trashing other candidates in the meantime. Would this be too difficult?
