Poll question: Okay, here's the scenario(revised):
Edited on Tue Aug-19-03 12:36 PM by MiltonLeBerle
As suggested here earlier by another poster- Clinton and Gore come out for the DLC Golden child Joe Lieberman, who starts winning primaries and ultimately- the nomination. The Bush Junta manages to keep the Repuglican nod, and it becomes a race between Bush/Cheney(R) and Lieberman/Edwards(D)-
And then on an Independent third-party ticket, you get a pairing of Wesely Clark/Howard Dean

How do you vote?

edited to change choices, and drop McCain.

1. Liberman is the only
democrat that I would have a very difficult time voting for. Liberman is a Democrat in name only.

3. Even hypothetcial situations
Should have some basis in reality. Dean/McCain? I guess you missed the interview recently where McCain trashed Dean. McCain is solidly GOP. He won't be going independent.

6. "manages to keep the Repuglican nod"
I like that. I only WISH there was some chance of Bush not getting the nod.

7. Uh...
...Bush/Cheney leads. This is not due to Freeping but rather due to your putting it as third choice, thus transferring all of Dean/McCain's votes to Bush.

8. Bad Scenario
Any third party candidate from our side wil all but guarantee a bush victory.

The best we could hope for would be a third party candidate from their side.

10. That's why I sought to pair a Dem with McCain...
Since there are getting to be more and more reports of repukes unhappy with the Little Aviator, I was trying to gauge if people thought that type of party might have a chance- but since this is strictly(supposedly) a Democratic crowd, it's hard to get an overall measurement of the cross-party viability of that kind of ticket
