john edward's strategy compares to bill clinton
i will be interested in seeing how this plays out. i believe no serious candidate should dismiss him based on his current poll numbers.

"The senator's aides dismiss poor poll numbers as unreflective of how the race will play out in the fall and winter, when most voters begin tuning in. They compare Edwards's strategy to that of Sen. John McCain in 2000 and Bill Clinton in 1992 - underdogs who surprised critics with late surges in New Hampshire.

As a first-term senator with no previous political experience, Edwards used the early part of his campaign to refine his policies and lay the groundwork for future campaigning."

1. He's the dark horse of this race (unless Clark enters).
I could be wrong, but I believe that at this point.

2. The fall will be the beginning of the race.
Most of the groundwork has been laid and those who have been quietly building that groundwork while the cameras were focused on another, will gain traction quickly, imo.
