Would Bustamante be the 1st hispanic governor in US if elected?
Or was John Sununu was born in Cuba?
I cant recall(excuse the term),any other hispanic governors.

Bill Richardson of New Mexico is Hispanic.

Sununu is, I believe, Lebanese by descent.

had quite a few especially before the rail road brought lots of anglos (in new mexico that means non hispanic) to the state.

i thought sunnunu was lebanese.

Arizona elected Raul Castro as governor and Jerry Apodaca was elected governor of New Mexico that same year. Both were Mexican Americans.
