Editorial from woman in Iraq

Spc. Lynn V. Thomas in Tikrit Iraq wrote an editorial for our paper today. Here are some excerpts.
"When my battalion leaders asked for a memorable moment for the newsletter, do they want to know about the time when I coudln't get my mask to seal while the sirens were scratching myu ear drums, or when we crossed the border into Iraq and they told me to be careful of wire strung across the bridges. I could be decapitated."
"There is no way for anyone to know the fear that I feel everyt time I go on a mission."
"Last night we were hit with seven mortar rounds. This is my breaking point, I think. I haven't given up yet, but this kind of environment will make you think twice about how much one person can actually take."
This girl's mother sumitted the letter to the local paper. Maybe all these people who in Wyoming who used the war in Iraq to sell fire works will feel a little shame, although I doubt it, gold lined pockets are praised over sacrifice, or so I've seen.

Well, not my children, but everyone is someone's child. Hell, if you take a view like that which ends Grapes of Wrath, yeah, they are my children!
