First, everyone seems to have cool little icons next to their posts. Where do they get those? Is there a big list one can choose from?

Also, is there a list for little images like this? :)

Finally, if someone sends me a private message (not that I'm Mr. Popular or anything) where would I check it?

1. Avatar. Go to personal preferences. I don't remember exactly where that is. I think on the lobby page. Personal preferences, account settings, something like that.

Do you remember setting up your profile? It was around there.

2. Emoticons, like :), are available while you are typing your message. Above the subject line, it says "Message Options". In that area you will see "Smilies lookup table". Click that for list of emoticons.

3. I will send you a DU mail now. When you are on the lobby page, you should see "inbox" across the top.

Let me know if you don't figure out the first answer, and I'll go looking for details.

Okay, at least you now know how to do those things. I don't know how many posts you need before you can send a DU mail. At least you have now received one.

Those little icons are called avatars. You can get one by clicking on the options icon when you are logged in, then go to edit your profile, then open the link to avatar images. It's pretty self explanatory after that.

One of my favorite Portland bands is Sleater Kinney.

It's a hell of a city. Do us proud Portland!

bus loads of people going there today for the rally...I really have to believe that more than 2000 would be there.

I live in a small coastal town too and din't hear of any buses going there.
