Anybody see Kucinich on Jon Stewart!

Jon said that Dennis and Sharpton were the most outspoken!

and Jon seemed very proud of them for that.

Kucinch just wrote a petition to get rid of the Energy Corporation who was responsible for the Black out! :bounce:

Jon asked Kucinich if Rumsfeld was a Robot! and Dennis who is on that committee believes he is! LOL!!

Jon question if Cheney was Human! and Dennis wondered that too!

Jon talked bad about Cleveland's water being from Lake Erie and Dennis came back to defend Ohio saying it had the Best Water source the Great Lakes! Jon questioned that cause he swam in Lake Erie!

I watch Jon Stewart every night he's on, since I can't stand to watch real news (lies). I was amazed to see Dennis on there, since JS has seemingly written him off as a hopeless long shot (or at least that's the way it has appeared to me, but it may be my poor satire indicator). I thought Dennis looked good, and well in command of what he was saying.

And if he did, was he funny?

But, he seemed at ease, looked good and made some good points. He really does well when he has some time and the interview was short. He was well received by the audience.

Jon Stewart can seem like so much of a democrat sometimes, but he gives a few jabs to the dems as well. Nothing like what he gives the Bush* crowd, though.

Dennis was his usual self, from what I've seen of him. He didn't want to follow up a line JS fed him, a chance for a good joke, but maybe some things aren't joking matters to him.

I can't bear to watch a politician try to be funny and fail. Very few actually succeed at that. Al Gore and Hillary, oddly enough, are two of the few.

PS: It sounds like Dennis was true to himself.

I like him and have for quite a while, even if I'm not totally in line with him. Ya just gotta admire the guy's integrity, even if you do disagree with him on some things. I liked how he was gracious about the other candidates, and when asked who he got along with, he said "Edwards", and didn't mention anyone else. Being an Edwards guy, that just made me feel good, and made me feel like they really are the warmer and more "in touch" of the bunch.

I also realized that he reminds me of the character "Mr. Carlin" on the old Bob Newhart show. (It's a physical reminder; that character was selfish, humorless and nasty. Dennis truly does care.)

on his voting record for the unions.

Saying of the people on the state(which was all 9 candidates) only he and Kucinich have truly fought 100% for unions.

articles Abigail (?) posted had a part in it that said that NC is second (after SC) in having two senators with the lowest percentage of votes in common (low 40s I think). Little bit of an aside, I know.

I agree with the majority of the things he talks about.

and I watched it twice. He was more contained than usual I'd say. However, he came off as being very sharp indeed. I cannot say that anyone could have really questioned him given the situation.

However, all in all, good PR for DK!

Maybe I watched a different Daily Show than you did, but I thought he came off as really quiet and low-energy. For the first half of the interview, it seemed like he was giving only monosyllabic answers and Stewart was contorting over backwards to get him to expound on any answer. It wasn't until Stewart asked him to explain what he'd do as President that he seemed to warm up.

I support Dean, but I have a lot of admiration and respect for Kucinich. I like that he didn't get all huffy when Stewart called him a "longshot" and, by the end of the interview, seemed to "get" what the Daily Show's about.

Which is good for Kucinich. Everyone likes his issues, but Kucinich's negatives are *way* too high for a person with a 60% name recognition in primary states.

The man is so classy....and quite the sense of humor...gentle yet a fighter when need be...IMHO a perfect blend ....

I think it was a good impression- not sure either DK or Jon knew what to make of the other....

i didn't think dennis did particularly well ... for most, he's a relative unknown ... tv time, especially outside the sunday morning and c-span window is hard to come by ... dennis didn't do anything wrong ... he just didn't really make much of a splash ...

on a show like that, it doesn't hurt to "play a little saxaphone" ... i also thought, though his time was far too short, that stewart gave him many opportunities to introduce himself to the audience ... i wish he could have encapsulated 3 or 4 key positions to give voters an idea of where he was coming from ...

i really like kucinich ... but part of the game is playing the game ... you don't have to be funny but you do need them to remember your name and have a handful of reasons to vote for you ... i hope he does better on his next appearance ...
