Al Franken's Book

Who got it? (I did) How far are you? (Chapter 14) What do you think? (it's awesome sauce). I've been laughing all night and don't want to go to bed so I can keep reading. The section about O'Reilly's book was a complete revelation it had me jumping around the house. This kind of thing gets me excited, really really excited.

He actually goes over the whole C-SPAN episode and a whole host of other things. It's just great. I just started on the section about Hannity, yee haw. Back to the book.

I don't think I could tell a whole lot without giving it all away. In short the book that O'Reilly wrote was super trashy nearing at times on (bad) pornography. It's also currently available on tape from Amazon.com it's called "Those who Tresspass"

Franken uses this and sections from the book to highlight the hypocricy behind O'Reilly calling for a boycot of Pepsi. The boycott was called because Pepsi had begun using the rapper Ludacris as a spokesperson. O'Reilly felt Ludacris' lyrics were violent and sexist making him a poor spokesperson for a major corporation. O'Reilly's book however is about a serial killer (six murders) and features scenes with fifteen year old prostitutes.

Supposedly to capitalize on the lawsuit publicity of which I've seen exactly none. It was supposed to come out October but it's available at your local friendly bookstore (or at least it can be if you ask them) now. Borders had it all set up and in the front of the store for 30% off. I went to my local shop and picked it up at full price, the shop and Franken both deserve the extra seven bucks.

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon and they still say it won't be shipping until late September.
