Why Capitalism Sucks…


The above statement is the result of pondering the facts that Ann Coulter is drawing down mega-bucks for being the craziest bitch around, hell, I, personally know a half-dozen females who are crazier than her. The only reason they don’t gather in the large green is they didn’t have the luxury of farting through silk drawers and are now too busy trying to figure our a new way to serve up hamburger helper to a brood of nits sired by the high school sweetheart that turned out to be best suited for incarceration rather than the entrepreneurial world. Capitalism Sucks.

This is such a poor critique of Capitalism that it actually might steer people towards Capitalism.

but I think what you mean is unbridled capitalism sucks. A regulated capitalist economy is a powerhouse that benefits everyone. An unregulated economic system results in, well, what we got today. Corporate corruption, environmental degredation, gummint corruption, corporate consolidation, class warfare; Fascism, in other words.

Capitalism, to motivate and empower people to go out and seek their fortune, with strong and socially conscious, uh, socialistic tendencies is really the best system. You don't have some uber-government, like in communism, controlling everything, but you do have some kind of watchdog to make sure the environment stays clean and the poor are taken care of, and while the people may get rich (absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to make money), it should be done on honest and good terms.

honestly say that, today, we have UNREGULATED capitalism?

we have more regulation that at any time in history. The federal register contains more than 12000 pages of new regulations each and every year. And most of those not from your ellected officals, but from unelected bureaucrats.

What we have today, by definition, is a combination of capitalism, and statism, more statism than capitalism. but seeing as this trend started around the turn of the century, noone alive today remembers having more capitalism.
