repug mantra on California recall

if I hear it one more time I'm going to :puke:

the mantra? - It's "..the people of California have spoken..." re: by signing the recall petition...

since when does a repug listen to the "people"... the "people" spoke in 2000 in favor of Gore, yet repugs went to the Supremes to get their "boy" planted in the oval orafice

Repugs didn't listen to the people in 2000, so why are they all of a sudden listening to the people now????

1. 12% of the people who voted in the last CA election?

More than 40% of Americans think bush is doing a bad job, and 12% said Davis is. Does that mean Bush should be thrown out of office too?

The Republicans are exploiting an outdated law with big money to try to overthrow an election.

They will stop at nothing to steal the government. Democracy means nothing to right wingers.

... is just another Rethuglican lie!

The People of California spoke when they reelected Gray Davis as governor last year by a legal majority vote.

The GOP money machine spoke when it used aggressive, paid solicitors to get enough signatures for a recall referendum.

There's a huge difference between those two events, so every time you hear this new GOP "mantra," throw it back in their faces for the lie it is!
