Janklow's son makes less sense than his father

<http://www.argusleader.com/news/Fridayfeature.shtml>

Troopers investigating the fatal crash involving Rep. Bill Janklow found no evidence of a third vehicle in the area at the time of the collision, a Highway Patrol official said.

...

According to the accident report, Janklow "stated there was a vehicle in his lane of traffic and he had to make an evasive maneuver to avoid the vehicle."

...

Janklow's son, Russ, said his father was confused following the accident.

"I knew that night from my discussion there was no other vehicle," the younger Janklow said. "I'm not going to say there wasn't a car. I wasn't there. My dad at this stage doesn't have a great recollection about what happened."

Russ Janklow knew there was no other vehicle, but he's "not going to say" there wasn't one. Well, was there or wasn't there? He knows there wasn't one; he just won't say that there wasn't one.
