Bush called the forest fires a Holocaust
Did anybody see that yesterday?
trying to appeal to people's emotions/trauma to promote forest-thinning.

1. bush* is haunted since his whole inheritance is from Holocaust
victims...

bush* grandpa, prescott bush, funded hitler's rise to power, and personnally supervised Jewish slave labor at Auschwitz....prescott made LOTS of money from working Jews to death in his coal/steel industries....and that money paid for bush1 rise to power, and shrub's inheritance...

read the whole sad story here..written by the President of the Florida Holocaust Museum...

4. I hate to defend Bush* but before "The Holocaust," the word

"holocaust" existed -- and still exists. It doesn't sound as if he made the most appropriate use of the word ( or used the most appropriate word) but at least he's increasing his vocabulary.

Here are the Merriam-Webster Dictionary online definitions for holocaust.

Main Entry: ho·lo·caust
Pronunciation: 'hO-l&-"kost, 'hä- also -"käst or 'ho-l&-kost

2 : a thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life especially through fire <a nuclear holocaust>
3 a often capitalized : the mass slaughter of European civilians and especially Jews by the Nazis during World War II -- usually used with the b : a mass slaughter of people; especially : GENOCIDE

6. And "niggardly" actually means stingy
But contemporary connotations have really limited it's use.

You don't think Bush knows anything about the accurate definition you cite, do you?

Language evolves. Too bad Bush doesn't believe in evolution!
