The Dumbest Complaint I have ever seen
"MLK Rally marked by Bush, Ashcroft bashing & absence of US flags"

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/969405/posts

"The most stunning aspect of this rally was the almost complete, seemingly choreographed absence of the Old Glory throughout the vast crowd, estimated by organizers to number 50,000. The fact that not a single black person thought it proper to show appreciation to a country that freed his forefathers from the clutches of slavery by proudly flying her flag, seemed almost offensive to me."

Fuck off, FReeper. Just because people don't carry flags doesn't mean that they hate America. Before 9/11, no one carried flags. ***and I'm not even touching that slavery comment***.
I notice that you FReepers and all fifteen of your fellow demonstrators, at your pro-war rallies, never carry signs that your are against rape and arson. So does that mean that conservatives everywhere are for rape and arson?
Come to think of it, I never saw any of you assholes display or carry American flags before 9/11. Is it that you just didn't love America before 9/11?

"What followed this remarkable opening was a long flow of speaker after speaker, spewing anti-Bush, anti-Ashcroft and sometimes, anti-American screed. First up was Martin Luther King III, and he set the tone for the afternoon's speeches by attacking the war on Iraq and Afghanistan, and blaming the Bush administration and the US military for all ills under the sun. He listed "homophobia" as one of the greatest contemporary evils facing mankind"

Hmm... Anti- Bush and Ashcroft speech at a civil rights rally? Could it be that its due to Bush and Ashcroft attacking and trying to take away civil rights? Maybe...

"Why the almost enforced absence of US flags? Why no singing of the Star Spangled Banner? Why no mention of the greatness of America? Why no invitee from the right of the political spectrum?"

Let me field that one, you poorly educated, sycophantic jackass. Why no flags? Maybe they, like many, are ashamed of what the American flag, a symbol they used to love, has come to stand for. Why no mention of the greatness of America? Why is this necessary? I didn't hear you assholes praising America while waving flags when Clinton was the President. And why no invitee from the right of the political spectrum? Perhaps, once again, because this was a CIVIL RIGHTS rally. The right has no interest in this.

"And lastly, why the non-coverage by the media, with the notable exception of C-SPAN?"

Must be that "liberal media" I have heard so much about, you shithead.

AND NOW, comments from selected FReepers:

"Martin Luther King had a dream, and it wasn't that whitey pay for everything."
His dream didn't involve being assasinated by the Right, either.

"Nice seeing Howard Dean show up for this "big day" in celebrating outright hatred and hostility toward his own countrymen. Wonder just how many 'America Is Evil' rallies he'll wind up attending before his hysterical landslide loss? "
Hey, psycho, you want to sit back and enjoy the ride while the fourth reich climbs to unimaginable power? Fine. But don't play this high and mighty shit while you are doing it. Go to hell.

"The woman with the Stop Racism Now poster. What is she saying, that there aren't enough blacks aborting their babies?"
Im not really sure what this means. But I am very scared...

"Of course the "money bucket" with a requested $100 or more is requested!"
Don't Bush donors give about $2000 on average?

"It's time the DNC FOLLOWED THE LEAD of the Republican party and give African Americans positions of *real power* in the executive branch"
Oh, you mean like Colin Powell? They guy you had go to the UN before the Iraqi War, and who then took all the blame for your failures? The guy who was and is still being criticized for all of the administrations woes? The guy who will be out on his ass and replaced by Newt Gingrich? Him?

"Because the real MLK had Republican values. They can't acknowledge him, and still get the uninformed to vote for Marx"
Oh, so he was a Republican. And he would support Ashcroft if he were alive today, right?

"... these anti-American, anti-decency anarchists have slandered and demonized MY country and MY countrymen, while spitting and defecating on the legacy and graves of all who have fallen FOR this America."
Funny, I thought you were talking about the Bush Administration.

"Actually prohibition of free speech is a leftist trait. So is making sure that when they make a speech they send out PC signals like wearing AIDS ribbons. Remember the episode of Sienfeld where Kramer refused to wear the AIDS ribbons and was attacked by the gays? Don't become your "enemy".
In fact they can speak out against me and my nation all they want. I will defend their right to do so with glee."
You know, I love when these facist assholes try to use "free speech" to justify their racist, slanderous beliefs. They cry, "But, even though I know he is a stupid nigger, I can't call him one! Its because of the liberal thought police, those damn anti-American, pinko-commie hippies. I want to kill every one of them."
I don't think that's what the framers of the constitution had in mind...

These people are fucking sick.

Ummm, they weren't slaves until they got here, you moron.

The lack of historical facts on the part of these idiots never ceases to amaze me.

5. Don't you see?
We had to free them from the clutches of slavery, after we had put them into the clutches of slavery so they could be freed...

Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

10. "I calls 'em historical revisionists"
Don't know what books you read but you got it all wrong. I won't even bother to try to set you right.
I'd say welcome and toast you but that seems ill-fitting.
Moran seems appropriate.
