The only reason to watch CSPAN tomorrow is the Draft Clark people at 1PM ET. That morning line-up, however, has to be one of the most tilted to the Right that I've seen in some time...and yes, I do consider the DLC to be tilted to the Right these days.

1. "Americans for tax reform?" What shit!
Edited on Sun Aug-24-03 05:02 PM by Oracle
Deregulation, (no rules or price restrictions for corporations) tax cuts fot the wealthy, tax breaks for corporations off-shore accounts, taxes to help and bail out corporations.

3. C-SPAN callers "love" us so.
They will tear Norquist and Gertz a new one.

4. Dean and Kucinich supporters need to call in
and give Kilgore hell. The DLC needs to be told they are pissing off a lot of the base, and that they are doing a fine job of growing the Green party unless they stop moving right.

I've heard People call in and say they had been trying for 10 years
to get in and then they get hung up on by brian or steve or that other snark.

9. Aaagh! I turned it on. What is with the DLC guy's hair?
The hair on this guy explains EVERYTHING. If I had a phone number I would call them today. It's obvious that the DLC is trying to lose the election. There can be no other explanation for this hair.

I don't like commenting about appearances, but image is an important part of the political game (for more on that see McGrudder's recent CSPAN speech) and I hate to say this, but it's a part of the game that Kilgore is losing.

11. I just posted on Alcuna's thread about Kilgore's appearance..What was
McGrudder's recent CSPAN speech? Was he talking about image? who is McGrudder?

In Kilgore's case his appearance needs work. It's one think if one can't help one's appearance....it's another if they look like they don't give a damn about their appearance. This guys a Policy Director for the DLC for gosh sake!

He looked like a Bum!

14. He's the writer of Boondocks
He gave a recent speech on image in politics and the media on CSPAN. He ranted against the shallowness of how image is used but stressed that even though it's unfair, people needed to be aware of how the game is played to be able to beat the system.

12. BTW I had to turn off Gertz and Kilgore/Norquist after trying to listen
Edited on Mon Aug-25-03 09:16 AM by KoKo01
for long enough to see if anything interesting was going to be said. Gertz was predictable, but Kilgore had every opppotunity to refute Norquist, but he just let him rave on with "Gingrich talking point" personal attacks.

No wonder Democratic Message doesn't get out! C-Span has a debate and DLC sends some unwashed, tired looking "has been" to defend our cause..........:grr:

13. Wait a minute. . .
They are giving the ACLU an awesome forum to talking about passenger screening. No you have have a problem with the ACLU for being "fair and balanced" but I applaud CSPAN for giving the ACLU this forum.
