Sick of this Republican Bullshit Spin
It seems these days that whenever Democratic candidates talk about such radical notions as--let's see--not lying a country into war, not raiding the treasury for the benefit of industrial cronies, not raping the environment, not trampling on the Constitution, etc., the wingnuts that dominate the media break out the "Oh, they're just appealing to their base."

Huh?

So, to oppose the suicidal policies of the fascists in the White House is to be merely appealing to the Democratic "base"?

And the base is always discussed in the most demeaning and condescending tones, as if they really want to say the "tree-hugging, eco-terrorist, hippie, Clinton-loving traitors."

I'm disgusted with the right-wing media's attempts to marginalize the most basic standards of accountability, fairness, and human decency as the hysterics of the Democratic "base."

1. But they are correct. Only thing is our base is most of America
The majority of Americans agree with the Democrats on those issues.

3. Aw, you're just appealing to your base.
Just like the Democrats, appealing to their base -- the American people. And it looks like the American people are starting to listed, and realize that they ARE the base. That is, if the DLC doesn't short-circuit the process of appealing to the base by appealing to other rightwingers.
