Way to go Joe. No, I'm not paying the $0.23, even tho' I had to rip it open to see what was up. I saved the envelope and plan to tape it up with the postage due envelope and say Return To Send.

He can pony up the twenty-three cents and the return postage.

2. Isn't he incredible!
Not only has he misread a large section of the electorate, the clueless wonder can't even mail a letter.

3. Somebody still has a list on which I'm district chair
(a DNC or related screw up; I'm not any more, just treasurer).

I'm getting all of the candidate mail. That means that at least 50 pieces went out under posted to North Dakota alone, if not an entire mass mailing to every state legislative/ward chair, which would be a lot of envelopes!

This is so campaign 101 I find it hard to believe somebody didn't weigh the damn thing to make sure they were posted properly.

8. This smells like a dirty trick done by a Lieberman hater
if this was an error by his staff, then Lieberman should clean house!

6. Dirty Little Secret...
Postal workers let slide anything political they agree with. Which happens to be most Democratic and union literature. (Not that you can toss it into the mailbox without any postage, but they'll give the benefit of the doubt.)

Except Joe Lieberman, I guess. :-)

9. Postage due mail is usually accompanied by a small reimbursement
envelope for the letter carrier. All postage due mail is paid in advance by the deliverers of the mail and it is up to them to collect from the postal patrons. There are times when the carrier will let the patron of the hook for a few cents here and there, but the USPS holds them (letter carriers) accountable for payment.

Postal workers have high regard for their obligation to their patrons and to the USPS. Republicans, Democrats, union leaders and corporate heads get equal treatment.

7. LOL!
And I didn't even get one. What a shame! Yeah, if I do, I won't open it -- it'll be 'return to sender.'

11. I'm a little confused. Normally, if you get a "postage due" letter, you
have to pay the postage before the carrier will give it to you. Are you confusing this with a "prepaid" envelope that was inside the one you got? This makes no sense to me. :eyes:
