Just heard it on CNN so it must be true.

Now that we have liberated the Iraqis from the Evil Saddam, these people could not give a shit about what happens to them now.

Like these pro-life groups that liberate all these fetuses and could not give a shit about what happens to them after they have saved them from the Evil abortionist.

4. The numbers tell all.
I beleive those #'s are exaggerated but I do beleive that at least 49.5% have their heads where the sun dont shine.
(See 2000 election)

5. Hey! Welcome to DU.
Don't believe the hype. The true number of people supporting this war is probably more like 39%, and that's the freeper base of the right wing party.

10. That is a preety good observation
Frankly with the non stop corporate propaganda, I would figure the number should be higher than that, a glimmer of hope or just an anomaly?

Btw florida_puppy welcome aboard

6. good analogy
Innocent Iraqis are innocent like fetuses.

Like Saddam, the abortion doctors should be curbed by international co-operation, inspections of their installations and humanitarian aid for the suffering -- not with violence.

It will be a lot more humane to tackle the abortion issue after we get universal healthcare. I hope we get universal healthcare soon.

7. "Pro-lifers" aren't pro-life.
They're pro-pregnancy.

The "fact" that most people approve of the "war" (what war? The worlds most powerful military took on a 5th rate bunch of ill armed, ill motivated, draftees and massacred them), doesn't make it right.

Most of the public "approved" of the war in Vietnam while it was going on, right up to the end. Most of the American people will always allow themselves into being bamboozled by waving the flag at them and shouting "support our troops". Throw in a constipated looking boob talking solemnly about "smoking 'em out" and "Bring 'em on" backed by supposedly liberal Democrats, and, yesseree, you'll have 'em cheering. Until, enough body bags come home and they finally figure out that $1bil per week that it costs to "rebuild Iraq" might have been spent to "rebuild our schools", "rebuild health care", "rebuild the environment", or "rebuild the economies of the states".

8. Ignore it
Polls are nothing but snapshots and they're shot with disposable cameras.

9. not to burst your bubble
but several of the most prominate opponents of the war in Iraq were, and with one exception are, still pro life. David Bonior, Dennis Kucinich, Tony Hall, and the Pope just to name four. I realize the stories you like are more fun than the truth but I still like the truth.

11. Pro -war and pro-life groups are on the Right Wing Agenda and
those groups tend to follow ther leaders regardless and as you may know and they seem to not "look down the road" concerning the futures of the Iraqis and unborn fetuses. In both cases its for selfish/political reasons and not for the good of those who they claim are being victimized.

12. Correct, so when . . .
an individual is both anti-choice and anti-war (like the examples mentioned above), it means we are dealing with a very confused individual who is schizophrenic about whether she is right wing, schizophrenic about when it is a good idea to look down the road and when to avoid doing so.

I am not sure who is more dangerous to our political health: consistently obedient right wingers or these wall-eyed "schizo's"?
