The cool thing about Dean
If he wins the Dem nomination and he beats Bush, he will be one the biggest "grassroots" political victories in the history of the United States. A Dean victory would turn Washington politics upside down and force the Republican legislature (probably just the House if Dean were to win) to come to terms with reality and start doing the peoples work.

1. Yeah! I really get excited about all this "Grassroots" work we
are doing! I feel that it is a way to topple the ugly status quo!

2. This is true.
One of the people I know who have been working with the campaign said "This is the best presidential campaign I have ever worked on. With Clinton you have a huge stack of rules on what you could or could not do. But with Dean you get freedom to do what works best in your area. Real grassroots power."

5. Yeah and this is a woman in a wheelchair (she was not the
day we met back in Feb.) who hosts Dean meet-ups, works her tush off. She got Pitt to come for a Book Reading...

4. If Dean even wins the nomination
I think it will change the political framework forever. If he can do it without taking huge campaign contributions I think it will be a very positive signal that campaign finance reform *can* work; and I think big money in politics is probably the most destructive element in politics today.

I still hope Kucinich wins, though. :)

7. You can see the excitement in the face of the Dean
supporters. It's a real shot in the arm for the democratic party. The youth have come out in support, minorities, the elderly, a real cross section of supporters that are truly representative of this country and this party. I am really encouraged by this grass roots ground swell of support. He's a democrat's dream. His campaign does remind me of Clinton's and shades of JFK. Dean tells it like it is and he is getting the respect he deserves for it. Dean is no fluke, he's the real deal. When Bustmante takes the Californian governorship and a democrat takes the White House back, it will stand the repukes on their pointy little heads. I am loving it.
