Unity is not a BAD WORD!
I once heard a famous qoute, but I can't remember who said it. The quote was something like "I don't belong to any organized political party..I'm a Democrat!". Now is NOT the time for us to emulate that quote.

Being a Democrat is great, because we actually use our minds and are not simply lemmings marching in lock step. Although that is fine, and it is imortant to have open a heated debate, as we used to say in the Chiefs Mess, "once the command makes a decision, it is our job to get behind it, no matter how passionate or heated the debate".

Republicans pretty much march in lock-step. That is why repuke homophobes, bible thumpers, anti-hollywood anything folks will hold their noise and vote for Ah-nuld. They do this, because I think they realize that the important thing is to consolidate power. Their attitude seems to be "So what if you have a gay loving repub in congress, when it comes time to cut taxes, or eliminate social programs...we can count on this congressman towing the line".

We know the truth. The Democtratic Party is the party with the "big tent". We need to start acting like it.

I just want to make the following proposal.
-If you are a Green, and you want Tom Delay as Speaker of the House, then by all means...Vote for the Green candidate. Better yet, just vote for Bush...it's the same result.

-If you are a Libertarian and would like to continue having Crisco Johnny as your Attourney General, then vote for some obscure candidate instead of the Democrat.

-If you are a conservative Democrat, or a moderate and you want Judge Roy Moore as your next Supreme Court Justice, then by all means vote for Pat Buchannan, or any other number of truly "unelectable" candidates.

-If you are a Liberal Democrat and you want to see the continued expansion of the gap between the haves and the have nots, then by all means...don't vote for Leiberman if he is the candidate. Better to let the repukes consolidate even more power.

Wake up people. What is at stake is the very thing we claim to hold so precious. Our Freedom and Liberty. Hell, the survival of mankind may be in the ballance.

VOTE DEMOCRAT!!
