Poll question: Wesley Clark will do the following on Bill Maher this Friday:
Edited on Sat Aug-30-03 10:11 AM by jumptheshadow
Hey, folks, I'd like to try this poll thing out. Here's a disclaimer: I like Clark, but have never met another Clark supporter, either in person or virtually; I am not pushing a MEME (whatever that is), and I will gladly work for anybody the Dems nominate.

PS -- Does anybody else think that Real Time was better in its first incarnation? I do.

On edit: spelling

2. I've discovered Bill Maher is NOT funny in the least.
I used to catch Politically Incorrect often, and I thought it worked.
But Bill Maher doing standup for a few minutes first? EWWW. I'm surprised he gets any laughs at all for that junk.

But anyway, to your question...I like Wesley, I'll be watching, but I think it will be more of the same from him, since now he's rumored to be making a big speech in... Iowa? on the 16th where he may definitively say one way or the other.

4. His announcement will be in the week of Sept 15 - and NOT on Maher
show! I would imagine a press conference. Or , if he wants to do it unconventionally, Jon Stewart. He will talk intelligently and show us how he handles a hostile environment (Krystol is there and some other puke, right?) I doubt Maher is one of his groupies either.

5. Last Night Was Very Smart And Quite Brilliant I Thought...
Bill has some gray matter and puts it to use. I don't know whether it was better before, but it was very good last night.

6. I disagee
I thought it was one of the most boring shows since he's been on HBO.

The Millers add nothing. Bay is a conservative Parrot. The conservative state senator had the most intelligent viewpoint of them.

Bill did make a few points, but overall it was disappointing to me

7. Will Clark be on next week? He wasn't on last night.
And by the way, Bill Maher is saying all the right things lately. He had pissed me off calling Al Gore a "loser" and all that a couple of years ago. But right now, Bill Maher is taking on all the Republican freaks he invites on the show...and he's handling it very well, and his jokes about the Bush Administration hit it right on the nose.

8. Maher announced Clark's appearance at the end of the show
Sometimes his guests shift, however, so I would probably conclude there's a high probability that Clark will be on the show.

I find that a little of Maher goes a long way. I absolutely loved Real Time before the break, when it was more of a variety show and less of a Maher talkathon. Yes, I even liked that cheesy guy who came on and did the wildly erratic skits. The live music could at times be interesting, as well.

Maher certainly has taken on the Bush administration. He was one of the few anti-war voices in the mainstream media. He can cut his "good friend" Ann Coulter down to size, too.
