7. He the slickest, I think
I used to listen to him and his half truths and spins would actually get into my head. On the other hand, I can listen to Hannity or O'Rielly all day and just laugh at them.

4. Candy Crowley.
Edited on Sun Aug-31-03 02:02 PM by TahitiNut
Unctious, condescending, biased, and too intellectually dishonest to be called an "analyst," political or otherwise. At least the others, to some degree, admit their ideological biases. Candy is far more deceitful.

is also sly, smart, calculating and vicious. I still remember the hatchet job she did on Mike Dukakis the night he won the nomination. She was with Lehrer then.

Judy has been on my list for a long time. It is a shame the way she has become as slimey as the rest. I used to see her in the 70s on an Atlanta station. She was very young with bad skin but seemed to be an up and comer. But, those were the days when we had real news. Now she is one of the worst, if not THE worst.

45. No, I certainly did not hear him refer to Clinton as an animal
Still, I also like Aaron Brown, and watch him occasionally. I have to watch the re-runs later at night. Too many in my family watching other things and my laptap is in TV room. I hate to miss Keith Olberman and also like to keep up with what Tweety is doing, so I miss Aaron more times than not. I would have to say that that comment is a disappointment, not that I ever thought he supported Clinton. I also don't think he supports *. Hey, maybe he is a "fair and balanced" man.

50. I think he tries to maintain a balance on his program.
And I think a lot of the more conservative talking points on the show are established by CNN anyway. As a title of one of his pieces about the economy, it was "It's still the economy..." which I took as a reference to "It's still the economy, stupid". :) Maybe I read too far into that, but I thought it was cool.

23. I'll go for the whole NYT - they wield a lot of power, misuse it
(subtly enough to mislead a lot of intelligent people) and then I have to hear how they are liberal media on top of it!
it's the insidious deception that drives me bananas more than anything else! These past years I heard old liberals say: W grew in his job (after 9.11) and other ones - who protested anti-war arguing furiously based on NYT that "of course they are WMD's" (some months ago - but after the war).
So, they are inflicting more damage than all foaming at the mouth wingnuts. At least in my neck of the woods.

42. But, But, But....what about those of us who've never watched Fox?
Edited on Sun Aug-31-03 09:43 PM by KoKo01
I've watched most of the other through the years and boycotted back and forth. But, though I have Faux, I NEVER watch it....because in the 2 1/2 years I've been on DU I've never heard a good word about it.

I have enough grief.....I never needed to add Faux news to it from what I've read here, and posters here keep us informed aboutt it. I've never seen O'Reilly or Hannity.......so your poll is going to skew to those who watch FAUX.

yet, those others that some of us "peek at" aren't mentioned.

But, interesting to see how many DU'ers watch Faux......Did you ever think that watching them "pumps" their puny ratings? Why do you watch? To see what the enemy is doing......the enemy is everywhere......many DU'ers cut off the enemy a long time ago......But, I understand that seeing both sides could be important to other DU'ers.

Still, yout post is skewed for media bias, I think.........needed Tweety, and some Network folks that aren't listed.....to be more complete?

Every Repub talking point was brought up to try and discredit or do a "gotcha" on Kerry, although Kerry handled it all in fine style. Russert is obviously a robot for the far right wing, that is what I got from that interview.

47. I thought Russert was unusually softer on Kerry...
Russert was WAY MORE vociferous with Dean than today's light batting around of Kerry. One tends to get the impression that the GE corporate fascists are possibly hedging their bet and throwing a pass at Kerry for the Democratic nomination. With Kerry at least they're guaranteed to get a fellow Skull-and-Bones member and New England power elite.
