Why is it that the pro-life crowd only cares about people

before birth and when they're ready to die?

We are ALL pro-life and anti-abortion.

I think most of us just don't want to criminalize abortion since we know it's going to happen anyway regardless of what the the fundies think. As a matter of fact, their crowd has a heck of alot of abortions they just pray to Jesus for forgiveness and condemn the rest of the folks who aren't as hypocritical. No one wants abortion and many are scarred by it for life. Why make it a crime and further their suffering?

And those suffering at the end of their days. What is gained by prolonging their suffering other than a political wedge issue? No fundie give a s''' about their suffering.

In the meantime, no help for those suffering miserable lives in between, no care for the troops dying in a meaningless stupid war. What kind of people determine their politics on such narrow issues?

Opposing abortion allows conservatives to seize the moral high ground without having to exert any effort. This is why they love the abortion issue so much.

It's a freebie. You get the benefits of taking a selfless position "being labeled pro-life: with minimal cost.

Conservatives adopt moral issues that are easy to get behind i.e. prayer in school, and they avoid issues that are more difficult i.e. protecting the environment.

Ironically, more abortions occuer when fundies are in a position to make policy as opposed to when liberals are in power.

human emotions seem to have a need to punish people they don't know and force them to wring every last bit of misery out of life, whether it's by forcing them to seek butchers for abortions or denying them adequate pain control at the end of life for fear it may shorten life by a few minutes or hours.

There seems to be a great deal of free-floating hostility in with the anger and hatred, just looking for a target.

I can't help feeling horribly sorry for these people, they inhabit such an ugly and limited world. However, I want to eject them from any and all seats of power.

Alas, I'm afraid they're so entrenched that the only way we'll get rid of them is by allowing them free rein to screw everything up. Only then will the reachable people out there see them for what they truly are.

Women in the past went through a lot to achieve rights for females and these fundie and Republican women are just willing to throw it away as if its nothing. They are ungrateful.

about these people whose lives they are trying to influence. They buy off on the brainwashing that by saving these "souls" they are one more step closer to eternal salvation in heaven for themselves. It is not an altruistic position they operate from at all. It's actually a very selfish one.

If there is a God, I think he can see right through the hypocrites. No amount of praying and false religiousity and phony forgiveness will save them. They just don't see that. There is no debate with this crowd. Dismiss their arguments. They are false.
