1. great! unfortunately, here in Lee County FL (I mean re-puke county FL) they
will probably not run it in any of the theaters except in Northern Fort Myers where it is predominately lower income. That was the only area they showed Michael Moor's film.

Thanks for the info. :)

5. Yea I know
I hear ya..

Bush can't get elected again. Bottom line. Hillary will run in 2008. And there is a good chance she could win. We just have to deal with what we have.

10. Stating opinion as fact
is usually left to the righties. I also note it is the righties who are so convinced we Dems want to run Hillary. Couldn't be more wrong, FYI.

11. why the hell would you think Hillary will run in '08?
The only people who seem to think that seriously are republicans.

Ain't gonna happen.

6. Elections are never over...
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 01:57 PM by shuffnew
we need education throughout every day of every year. There are always elections (until some Republican finds a way to stop them and successfuly implement a non-secular government and/or one-party country) and education needs to be repeated repeated repeated (not just in the final days prior to a major or minor election).

Now getting theaters and tv channels to show truthful media is another story since many of our communication channels are owned and/or controlled and operated by the extreme right, but we have to keep up the pace to get the truth out in any form of media willing to take on the challenge... Reputable reporters such as KO (whose approval rating has escalated) are what we must strive for. We cannot give up on just, fair, and reputable reporting.

Kerry’s Debate Phrase "Weapons of Mass Deception" is the title of a New Documentary about Iraq War
Full text: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2004/10/prweb166647.htm

<snip>

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 10, 2004 -- In his second debate with George Bush, Presidential Candidate John Kerry opened with, "The president didn't find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, so he's really turned his campaign into a weapon of mass deception,"

<snip>

"It's a phrase whose time has come,” says filmmaker Danny Schechter, Producer of the feature length documentary “WMD” (Weapons of Mass Deception) on the media coverage of the war in Iraq. Schechter has just inked a theatrical distribution deal with Cinema Libre Studio, the California Company that distributed “OUTFOXED” in movie houses nationwide. Schechter continues, "Americans hate to be lied to by politicians but they are even more disgusted when the media they rely on is also deceptive"

8. Yea yea yea.
Moores movie didn't work and he tried hard to get the people to see it. People just don't believe everything on the screen any more. They are jaded by the internet. Conspiracy theories are abundant these days. It is harder to get a point across. Sad I know...but it is true..

15. Moores movie did work...
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 03:54 PM by shuffnew
It opened many eyes to reality. I personally know of a number of Republicans that made the turn to Democrat in 2004 Election (one of the final straws to making the decision was after seeing F 9/11). Anything that helps or causes people to wake up to reality is goodness.

Of course no movie or documentary is going to impact everyone to the same extent to the same level (or perhaps not at all) and that is not just related to political issues either.

Sometimes you have to go to extremes to get a point across. Our media situation in the U.S. certainly prevents truth dissimination!
