Too bad! John McEnroe's talk show canceled
At times, show's audience too small to be measured
NEW YORK (AP) -- From a TV standpoint, it was a straight-sets loss: John McEnroe's talk show was axed Friday by CNBC after barely six months on the air.

McEnroe may have had more people watch his tennis matches -- in person -- than watched his talk show some nights.

The show was averaging 75,000 viewers a night
Looks like the viewers for this garbage are turning it off.

3. John's show wasn't bad - but very liberal for today's market!
Makes me wonder if any show can survive unless it's blatantly right-wing.

He had a bad time slot and no advertising. I found it while channel surfing one night and was pleasantly surprised. Also, does anyone watch CNBC??? Too bad he never got a real chance to succeed. He actually was good!

4. "this garbage"
Did you ever actually watch it? Or are you just assuming that it was garbage?

John's actually pretty liberal - we need as many as we can get.

5. Liberal, smart, and articulate, but not nasty enough
Too bad the show was so damn boooring.
And I hate his side kick.

John should have ranted and raved, Lord knows we have reason to.
People want entertainment on TV. This wasn't supposed to be
the Book Club.

6. The times I did try to watch it, the guest were obnoxious and so was Mac.
I may have gotten wrong impression but I always cought it when something stupid was about to happen and when I considered that the show was on one of the all news channels, I was turned off.
Sorry if that missed the mark, but that also leads to why it was cancled then, viewers were most likely confused by the content.
