If elections happen in Jan or Feb, I would look for a relatively "smooth" election so that naysayers will step back and "accept" the newly chosen leaders..

Then look for a hard crackdown, along with then "asking" the US to GTFO of Iraq.

Bush is on the record as saying.."If they want us to leave, we will", so on the face of it, there will some fluff pushed around about how "our job is done..Iraq is a democracy"..and then the real fun begins..

I see Iraq as the western province of Iran, with Shia fully in control.. If we then try to insert ourselves, we will be seen as attacking Iran... :(
