Bush took down Official Bill Clinton Portrait in WH
http://www.wonkette.com/
BREAKING: Clinton White House Portrait Missing?
We're getting reports that all of Laura Bush's lovely Christmas decorations may have bumped some of the White House's usual art out of the building. Like the official portrait of Bill Clinton. A Wonkette operative writes:
"A friend of mine just got the chance to get a White House tour, and she really wanted to see President Clinton's portrait close up. She couldn't find it, and an usher quietly told her that it had been taken down to make room for Christmas decorations. But there was Bush 41 and Reagan still on the wall."

I don't think Bill would care about hanging around in the Bush White House anyway.

5. Childish!
Taking down ONE president's picture to "make room for decorations" sounds more like an excuse to me. God forbid a democrat take down Ronnie's picture!

there would have been an indictment.

25. Ronnie, Truman, Ike, Kennedy...I don't care. Leave the pics
alone.

They belong there. Dubya does not. They were elected President of the US, Dubya was not.

8. Wonkette isn't always a reliable news source,
so I have to wonder if this isn't just a rumor, like the Ws being stolen from the WH computer keyboards in 2001. If true, it's appalling. The W administration's repeated willingness to Stalinize American history is disgusting and worrisome.

12. I'm sure it's down.
...and I'm also sure that they won't mention it officially at all, and if for some reason it were to come up, they'd make up some excuse about it needing to be cleaned or something, and while it' sbeing cleaned since it's christmas they hung stuff in it's place.

excuses when necessary.

16. No good deed goes unpunished. Now if Kennedy and FDR vanished,
then I would give a damn. At least they were true to the party they were in.

Don't forget:

NAFTA

DOMA

DMCA

Monica

Telecom 'reform'

Welfare 'reform' (did nothing to corporate welfare)

Nixing federal speed limit, what with all the oil we have and all :eyes:

The firing of Jocelyn Elders for :gasp: getting people to talk about health issues.

I know there's more, but how much more NEEDS to be said?! Clinton was either an enabler or acting in biparti$anship.

21. It's a symbolic gesture. That's why I care.
It's a big FU to Clinton.

Remember that Clinton made Little Boots look ridiculous at the opening of the Library in Arkansas, as Little Boots attempted to squeeze past Clinton, even though protocol is that Clinton would be the first out the door and head the procession.

I think it's time for me to find a portrait of Clinton and place it in my home, all his misdirected policies and indiscretions aside.

It should be in the men's room on a corridor that tour groups use so I can visit the WH and piss on it.
