Rumsfeld & Gen. Meyers.....The big story according to CNN is that it is a suicide bomber who killed the gi's yesterday. WHO FUCKING CARES? Yesterday the ENEMY won.

Ya know, how we used to call the Japanese soldiers "Japs" or "slants" and we called the German soldiers "Krauts"?

Iraqis call American soldiers "Jews", as in, "look out, here come some Jews"

The perception of those poor bombarded denizens of an oil rich country....its their perception. We can all freak out and argue about the reality of the situation, but they are fucking living it.

5. I've heard that tidbit

and completely agree on what you say about the perception of the Iraqi people. It's all that counts. What names the U.S. military comes up with to call the insurgents, or their excuses or promises or whatever, are irrelevant.

a mortar attack? The point is that our troops are vunerable in a place they shouldn't be-their own damned base! Maybe if they had adequate shelter. . . .oh, but that would have required planning time and that's not something they had time to do since they were in such an all-fired rush to war in Iraq.
