URGENT NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW: Three oil spills in one month and hardly a word about it on BushTV/Media... Not good folks... You can help us get vocal about these environmental catastrophes:
1) Alaska (40,000 gallon spill) Aleutian Islands
2) Massachusetts (4,000 gallon spill) Cape Cod
3) Delaware (475,000 gallon spill) Delaware River and coasts of NJ, Pennsylvania, and Delaware... 177 miles of shoreline have been affected and the spill is still growing. It is expected that it will cost $50 million or more to begin the cleanup...
Toll on the Delaware River
# More than 1,700 responders are working in the command center and along the river.
# Gross oil removal has been completed on approximately 13 miles of heavily and moderately oiled shoreline, and three waterfront facilities have been decontaminated.
# 18,827 gallons of oil and oily mixture and 816 gallons of submerged oil have been recovered.
# 1,827,380 pounds of oily solids (cleanup materials and oil ) have been collected.
# Experts report 198 captured birds have survived, 126 of which have been cleaned thus far. The spill is known to have killed 129 birds.
# Oil has affected approximately 177 miles of shoreline, with effects ranging from a very light oily sheen to tarballs.

Help us stop these polluters and end our dependency on foreign oil... The Delaware Disaster is the last straw! We need your help to fight for alternative energy funding and research ASAP... We CAN through effective, repetitive boycotts of gasoline starting Jan. 20, 2005.
