If it's regarded as "indecent", (which will probably happen judging by the context the word was used in and the precident set by Bono's uttereance awhile back) there's nothing the FCC can do. The utterance occured well after 10 PM local time in the Eastern and Central time zones. "Safe Harbor" rules, which allow the airing of indecent materials after 10 PM local time are in effect. However, if the utterance is ruled "obscene" as defined by Miller v. California, then the NBC O&Os in those time zones are going to have to cough up some mucho dinero.
