Old woman unleashes deadly attack on husband with sauce bottles
KITAKYUSHU -- A 77-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for fatally attacking her 89-year-old husband with sauce bottles, police said.

Kiyoko Sugita was arrested for the murder of her husband, Sumio, after allegedly bashing him over the head several times with sauce bottles.

She admits to the allegations.

"He did nothing around the home except complain and beat me up," the old woman told the police

9. patience of a saint
we have a woman in my family who hit her husband in the head with a frying pan -- very shortly after thay were married -- he came to the breakfast table and demanded to be fed.

just gives new meaning to the phrase ''the little woman''.

14. Reminds me of an incident in Virginia where a woman killed her husband
Her situation was well-known in the county, but back then domestic disputes were kind of left alone to resolve themselves by the parties involved. The husband had been beating on her for years, and finally in his drunkenness he stupidly went after the children. So she killed him.

I remember standing in the courthouse corridor while a sheriff's deputy explained what had happened. "Well, it seems she shot him accidentally six times."

I still think about that and laugh, and admire the deputy for his charitable assessment. BTW, she wasn't prosecuted. Sometimes there is justice.

17. If ever there was a man what needed saucing...
I feel awful for laughing at that poor old lady and the tragedy of domestic violence--however, I just keep having this vision of some old lady going nuts with a bottle of soy sauce...

Another story, equally tragic, came from a guy I know who works in a women's correctional facility. He's a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. He was telling me about this one lady who NEVER goes to any of the recreation programs. She won't watch TV in her cell or in the common rooms. There is, however, ONE activity she shows up for faithfully, every single week: Bowling.

The reason she is incarcerated is because she beat her husband to death with a bowling ball one night as he was passed out in his recliner with ESPN on the TV.

There had been a long history of domestic violence and she finally snapped one night...

19. Question IS: "Was she on the 'sauce' when she beaned him?"
If so, would 'impaired judgement' apply? (The MSG-level alone in Teryiaki Sauce could kill ya!)

21. Must be an epidemic. An old woman of 89 killed her husband with a
fireplace poker the other day here in Omaha. Before he died he told police she'd been beating him for months. Had to be some horrible and long built-up hostility there.
