if you believe for an instant he wasn't aware that a crisis of this magnitude had happen in plain sight of all the billion dollars worth of shit we got in the sky and ground? That is some scary shit. If you want to say he didn't understand. I can buy that. But wasn't aware my God.

3. Honestly, I don't think he thought he was skimping...I could picture him
saying....while waving his hand like it's nothing...
"We'll send'em 100 grand. That'll be good enough, now watch me clear this brush."

I'm sure he'd been brieft to his satisfaction but he didn't care to know the scope, watch the news or anything. I'm sure he didnt' want to be bothered @ first.

I'm sure his advisors knew that concerned Americans would be crying out for more aid to be sent and in this way he can put the blame for the price of the aid squarely on the American people. So when we are suffering from our own disasters, he can just shrug and say, too bad the money is not there, it was your choice to send it to a foreign land.

This is just the way they think. It also gets him points with his hate-filled extremist "base" who believe no aid should go to anyone at any time anywhere.

The bush nazi's don't belive in public charity, as it strikes them
as "welfare" and transfers, all of which are taboo to this lot of
corporate welfare queens in the white house.

I guess he presumed that america's churches would fill the gap left
by his stingy miserly inaction.

Apparently Rush has been jibber-jabbering for the last several days bashing the tsunami victims.

In his drug-addled brain, he thinks the number of victims is being over-inflated by the countries and aid agencies in order to get more financial aid. Seriously. He thinks they're lying about the amount of destruction. Just like the Holocaust.

Apparently, Bush agreed with him. Nice to know our leader is following the advice of a bigoted drug addict.

joined the departing COLON who can still believe in me POWELL. BUSH could not send his brother looking empty handed so he sent him with a promise of 350 MILLIONS ... but, do not forget, the bushes like to promise but seldom do they deliver.

Most repubs I know are selfish and don't care about other people to begin with...only Dems are compassionate and you know it...he knew about...he just didn't care enough to interrupt his vacation...sort of like he didn't care enough about threats of terrorism to interrupt his vacation of August 2001!!

19. Where did I say anything in my post about compassion...or lack therof?...
...And at the risk of being flamed (I'm sure I will) I will disagree that ONLY Dems are compassionate, which implies not one single Republican is compassionate. We can argue about levels of compassion (and I will agree that Dems are generally much more compassionate than Repubs), and targets of that compassion.
