For those who complain about NPR...maybe you are listening to wrong

NPR station/program? I listen every day at work(I build stairs and work alone 99% of the time). Today on World View I damn near split a gut! The host,Jerome McDonald, seems to be rather left leaning but more concerned about presenting all sides of issues. The program concentrates on international issues.

Click on the link below and listen. At about 20 min is to the show the guest states "he wishes President Bush would read his book, though he doubts that he will. I don't even know if he can read" It gets even better, please take the time to listen at least to that portion!

If it is, you have a great local station.

My gripe lately is with Barbara Bradley Hagerty's barely-disguised Christian fundamentalism.

But my local NPR stations where I've lived usually carry Ira Glass.

I really like Glass a lot.

better. NPR.. I would not spend time or a dime with them. Forget the defeatist elitist at NPR. If you have nothing else ..well I guess, but I just could not take all that whoring for Bush.

the crap on NPR, like Morning Edition and Weekend Edition and All Things Considered and all the Marketpuff shows.

4. I love NPR

I listen to NPR on the weekends when Laura Flanders isn't on. I think NPR is squarely in the middle.
I listen to AAR during the week, because I need my fix of really liberal talk radio.
Brian Lehrer is pretty good and I listen to him once in awhile.

The problem is the left needs to do some propagandizing of its own for awhile to counter act right wing radio. NPR will always be more careful than that, AAR doesn't have to be because its entertainment.

6. I liked a couple of shows on AAR,,for the 2 seconds it was on in

Chicago. I listen all day at work. Got hooked on the weekend shows first, What do ya know and Car Talk. Slowly they filled up my listening day.
