Apparently the latest talking point name for us is CONSPIRACY THEORISTS
Get ready to hear this every time you turn around. Someone where they concoct neo-con New Speak has decided this is the newest "name" we're going to be demonized with.

It's to make anybody who questions them look like a kook.

1. I like the new "Bush is somehow a computer guru" meme!
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 04:09 PM by patsified

11. That's actually a *weird* thing to say.
1. It implies that B* is dumb -- I mean, yeah, but DeLay saying it?

2. It implies that a computer guru *could* do it.

Is that the best they have?

Because it ain't much.

14. I find it a bit ironic that they rely on his stupidity...
as in 'no way he's smart enough to be a compooter guru...see how ridikalus this arga-mint is?'

In other words, our president is too dumb to fool us.

2. I heard it more than once while listening to the hearings today
and made me wonder if the latest attack aimed at DU by the NYT and Fox all came from the same memo sent out by the neocons.

5. I don't think that was any accident
AS I started hearing "conpsiracy theory" from minute one it hit me as to why those two stories popped up when they did.

to comb through DU thread by thread to find the one comment they could use to start this campaign.

6. I'll wear it proudly
A conspiracy is just a bunch of people conspiring to break the law together, I don't find that far-fetched at all.

I just explain that when I hear the label.

10. I'm not surprised at all...
they are going to be using words today that they heard against us for the next four years...they can't think for themselves so they have to use what their so called leaders have said to make their case.

Republicans are stupid...plain and simple...they do what they are told and they say what they are told to say...plain and simple...

13. And neocons got conned by the Chalabi conspirators but can't admit it...
Neocons are too conspiratorial themselves ! When the DIA and CIA can be overruled by a privatized security outfit like Office of Special Plans, you know there's some real DENIAL going on.

And for many, many people, to know us is to love us! This backfires big time for them. Anyone looking to amuse themselves browsing that "wacko world" of DU can see that the truth is MUCH different than the rep.

That's right folks! Welcome to Reality World.. Let the spin meisters spin off without you now.

18. This thread is encouraging.
It seems that the definition of conspiracy theorists has widened to include anyone who questions what the Republicans are doing. It would be great to see people actually waking up to the fact that conspiracy is standard operating procedure in politics and wealth.

Don't shy away when people call you this. Hit em with the truth, just the facts. Don't let the RW decide what can be discussed. If we do that they will keep getting away with their criminal agenda, all they need to do is shout down anyone who points to the facts as a conspiracy theorists.

20. The intellectual ghetto called 'Conspiracy Theory' is intentionally built
to hide anything that doesn't thrive in sunlight. Also called 'an electric fence to thought.'

This article explains how mass consciousness has been steered for decades to make IMPORTANT TOPICS A 'NO-GO-ZONE' FOR CITIZENS.

(The TV Hive Mind)

Very effective mind control. Just use the expression 'kooky kalifornian, tree-hugger, tinfoil hatter, America-hater, socialist, pervert, special interest, terrorist, or any number of verbal cues to shut your brain off and accept the power-sanctioned group-think that propaganda is designed to induce.

I pop people's bubbles by telling them to look up in a search engine the words 'operation vigilant warrior' along with '9/11.'

(9/11 Wargames During Attacks)

When they see that the official cover story of 9/11 makes no sense and the press, White House, and 9/11 OMMISSION PANEL hid it except for a small AP story on 8/21/02, then they begin to understand that conspiracy theories can be where the truth of a matter is hidden.

24. Gotta say it ONE MORE TIME
In the beginning (4 years ago) places like DU (and a number of others)were called both "conspiracy nuts" and "lunatic fringe". Just a few months ago I posted a run down of how most of all we screamed about has become front and center on national news, in investigative commissions, etc. In other words, we were able to figure things out and present them way back when. Then these useless, over paid journalists and political analysts and top-rated poly sci professors said exactly the same things on the national stage and where heralded as "deep thinkers". Bullshit. They did not dig. They did not investigate. They are lazy asses and they had the gall to take credit for "original thinking"----fucking bullshit it was original thinking!!! So take pride. You are feeding material to these overrated zeros.

Sure some of the speculation gets over the top but the end result is that DUers as a group have been ahead of the MSM in getting to the dirt and predicting political events.

For his conspiracy theories about Iraq and 911. It was less credible than a lot of things I've herad about 911 that were dismissed as kooky.
