God a 'clear and present danger', says Bush

Washington, DC - President Bush made a rare visit to Washington on Friday to launch a new sub-division within the Department of Homeland Security. Officially titled the Special Commitee for the Prevention of Random Acts of God (SCPRAG), the division has been set up to research and combat the manifestly increasing problem of 'God's wrath'.

Taking time off from his busy schedule in Crawford, Texas, the President met with heads of the new committee to discuss what the president describes as a 'clear and present danger' to the United States.

One of the challenges facing the committee will be helping Americans reconcile the necessity of a multi-billion dollar counter-terrorism budget with the lack of any serious initiatives to protect the environment. The President, however, denied that any such challenge existed. "I don't think Americans care about that."
