Are you making your Republican boss a good living?

Years ago I did. The man played a tremendous amount of golf. Somebody had to get it done. I was fortunate enough to go out on my own and do very well.

Boatloads of dough in fact. At least he pays me well and I've got good benefits.

...I quit and whadya know, he's no longer anywhere near the Forbes 400.

Message to boss: Keep Greendog happy or be prepared to lose millions.

a lot of it had to do with my calling him an idiot...seemed to work.

My boss and the founder and chairman are all lefties.

We do all the work and they reap all the benefits.

But I do get paid well and it is a pleasant (usually) atmosphere.

Yes, I did and often with very little thanks.

But I sure as hell do make him a lot of money anyway.

I am on SSI. :) I am living poorly but not helping them for sure.

My old job was killing me, and I wanted less work and less stress.

-- she gave me $4k above what I asked for in salary when she hired me. After almost 4 years out of work in the Bush "economy," this was a minor miracle!

Congratulations on your job; I know how hard it is to get employment in this Chimp disaster of an economy.

And my boss makes a pretty decent living with lots of vacation

With a small flaw; he likes to work outside the box and color outside the lines. He's currently been targeted for replacement by his more right-wing bosses because he didn't march in lock step with their agenda. He's been too innovative, and he's spent too much time letting his employees do things their way. The fact that we've been more successful than our more obedient counterparts doesn't matter. He's toast.

I guess you could say that working with an "anarchist" (his term for my attitude)like me, and giving me, and other like-minded co-workers latitude to get the job done our way, has put him in this position.

He was also in a car accident with his family this weekend in the midst of southern california flooding; I'm thinking good thoughts for him.
