AP Poll says most Americans hopeful about Bush's 2nd term
Jeez! I'm glad I'm not most Americans. Of course they're hopeful, because it's better than being hopeless, which is what most Americans really are.

3. What poll is this?
The BS poll? Our contolled media poll? The poll Dick Cheney
conducted in a meeting with the Bush mafia?

"Nearly two-thirds of those polled described Bush as likable, strong and intelligent. A majority said he is dependable and honest."

This number cannot be true. I think they must be fudging the numbers somehow or phrasing the questions in a way that results in weird answers.

Sometime between 7 and 8 a.m. today Yahoo took this article off their home page.

I posted a link to the article last night, I am going to find it and see if it still works.

13. Uh, okay
I suppose you could say I'm hoping he doesn't wreck everything beyond repair and/or kill my son. And what's most Americans - the 51 percent (or fewer) who were stupid enough to vote for the scumbag?

14. Let's Check Those TV Ratings On Friday...
I know I will be boycotting Network and Cable News all day...delighting in a ton of old movies, specials, On Demand selections and whatever the PBS station offers (I probably will check the NewsHour for updates). This is far different than 2001 when I was a 24/7 CNN viewer and, despite losing lunch watching * get installed, I still followed their coverage; especially the Clinton farewell. This year there is ZERO for me to watch...even less than the boring Raygun funeral.

I don't think I'm alone in this massive tune-out, and I'd be curious to see what the TV ratings (the overnights) look like on Friday. Let's see if the numbers of overall viewers is higher...there's a vote worth monitoring.

15. But it isn't hopelessness. It's far, far worse. They're spineless.
Pardon me while I laugh in hysterics.... fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice... can't... can't get fooled again?

It's not hopelessness, unless it's empty hopelessness.

16. Kind of a torture scandal here, when it comes to their math
Ahead of Bush's inauguration on Thursday, six in 10 people said they felt hopeful about his second term and in response to a separate question 47 percent said they were worried. Most said they were neither angry nor excited about his final four years in office.

Ask 'em enough questions, wring enough percentages out of the whole mess, then jam it all together into one "result."

*head hurts* :eyes:

17. What does "hopeful" mean? If someoone thinks Bush is awful,
but hopes Congress will stand up to him, is that person "hopeful?"

Being hopeful that things will improve in the next 4 years is hardly an endorsement.

Sounds like more "feel good and shop!" bullshit from our shameless Corporate Press.
