chisels for carving our peaceful tomorrows. One day we must come to see

that peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by

which we arrive at that goal. We must pursue peaceful ends through

peaceful means. True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is

the presence of justice. Now let me say that the next thing we must be

concerned about if we are to have peace on earth and goodwill toward men

is the nonviolent affirmation of the sacredness of all human life. Every

man is somebody because he is a child of God."

2. Rev. King's ability to craft the language in pursuit...
of a better country and a better world was probably one of his greatest gifts.
The fact that it was combined with his moral and physical courage allowed him to utilize that gift to its fullest.
