silly me - i kept thinking over the last four years that the "other shoe"
would finally drop.. or that the constant drip drip drip would cause a break in the dam... or that somehow the american people would awaken.

when will the nightmare end? is * really planning to attack Iran now? how much longer can the world allow this? will the world survive? will we ever be "america" again?

1. The other shoe DID drop. And then another, and another...
How the hell were we supposed to know that Bush is a millipede?

The problem is just that everyone habituated to the sound of shoes dropping.

4. LOL - bush** is a millipede
Perhaps when 'Murikans start to feel the impact of all of those shoes they'll be difficult to ignore.

10. I bet he loses count of his feet when he tries to jog!
That might explain all the bruises ... and his decision to stop running!

Love the Imelda Marcos analogy, too.

5. I know, we're bombarded with so much it's hard to keep up with it
all, but nothing lasts long enough in folks memories for outrage. The War is my outrage, but I lose track of all the other stuff because it's a daily bombardment.

Without a clear focus by the Mainstream Media, or some powerful legal help, I guess we have four more years of this.

At least here on DU folks can provide links so some of this keeps going but seems no one "out there" cares as long as they aren't hurt by any of the evil Bushes policies. I thought he would be gone. Swept away by Kerry.

6. As Sy Hersch said this morning...he's afraid...
...that Bush is going to invade Iran no matter what anyone says, does or otherwise urges. He feels he is on a mission to bring freedom and democracy to the ME, and dammit, he's gonna do it no matter what.

We're fucking doomed as a nation if this man is not stopped.

CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN...ARE YOU LISTENING? YOU CONTROL OUR DESTINY. You can stop him. You can cut his purse strings.

Or you can continue to kiss his lilly white lying ass, put party before country, and destroy the future for us all.

It's your call.

7. It ends when people stop buying our stuff overseas.
That's the only way the other half will get the message -- hey, "peepul not byng our stuff...me luze job." I haven't been that negative about the 40% who didn't vote (default Bush) and the 60 million who voted for Bush (less a few million stolen). However, it's time to make it simple. These people will change when the decline in marketability of American goods (sales down 20% in Europe lately) translates into economic impact here AND, is then connected to our stupid policies.

We need to have a lot of people say very loudly and with their preferences that they've had enough of our Imperial Reign.

I mean, seriously, if our real shot at world domination through direct military action stops after Iraq, that's a "short happy life."

N.B. I'm well aware of our various foreign control strategies over the past decades. However, Iraq is the real thing...when it fails, there will be a retrenchment and questionslike: why do we have troops in Europe? etc.

9. Know what you mean Peacebird...
I just kept thinking, this will sink them. But nothing has. I'm beginning to think the Plame treason will never be punished. And perhaps they WERE behind the anthrax. What country has the power to bring them up for war crimes. It is a very discouraging time. Always before, at least in my lifetime, the people would wake up and stop the madness but I don't have much hope of that. I knew bush would be bad and even worse the second time but as always, he exceeds my expectations.
