The first genocide of the 21st century continues in Sudan, despite peace treaties signed between the Sudanese regime and southern rebels. The death toll has now reached upwards of 100,000 and counting and more than 2 million have been displaced. Thousands more have been raped and enslaved. The United Nations still refuses to acknowledge that these events constitute genocide.
