1. Can't Say I'm Envious or Resentful
of upper classes. I simply don't want to be a part of them. There are some great people there, just no greater a proportion than anywhere else.

I'm not working class, either, but I have a healthy respect for working class people. Spent enough time as a cab driver and a short order cook when I was young to be able to appreciate the blue collar world. Still, it's not really me either.

I'm glad there's enough mobility in this country to be able to move among social classes in different settings.

5. yup
money is only made off the blood of others- either through them slaving away their lives for you at a low wage or you overcharging them for your goods and/or services. Otherwise the playing field would be about equal. Those that can take advantage usually do...

11. What a bunch of bunk
Let's see. I give a kid $20 bucks to mow my lawn. He pays me $20 for a copy of the shareware I wrote.

We both made money from each other and both got what we want.

So who is taking advantage of whom?

12. Communism purported to be a "scientific" system. It's not.
As for capitalism, who said it was a science?

It's just a much superior system when compared to communism.

14. corporatism
I think capitalism is often confused with corporatism.

Capitalism is an economic system based on individual liberty and creating property by adding value to ideas and objects that either had no value or less value.

Corporatism is the system whereby powerful private groups use lots of financial resources to influence the legislative process in order to create an environment where they can gain greater power.

The reason corporatism exists is because both sides of the fence -- liberal and conservative -- profit from it.

One the one hand is big business like Enron manipulating power.

On the other hand are special interest groups -- everyone from the religious right to Emily's List -- who use their deep pockets to disempower your vote.

That's the irony of it: as everyone debates reforming the electoral college, they work the other side of it by disempowering every individual vote anyway. Madness.

In reality capitalism and basic robust property rights are some of the greates protectors of individual freedom there are.

4. I don't.
I have no class consciousness. I am not envious of those wealthier than myself; I do not look down on those with less. I judge people on the basis of their character, not the size of their bank account.

6. Not one mention of the middle class?
The fast eroding and disappearing middle class, the one most of this nation belonged to was the glue that held it all together. Without the artificially created middle class, chaos will reign and socioeconomic positions become meaningless. The revolution will not be televised.
