"A small but spirited group of hecklers began shouting as Bush......."
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 04:37 PM by Gothic Sponge
From Corporate Network News :

"A small but spirited group of hecklers began shouting as Bush wound up his message. Their demonstration was promptly drowned out by mass cheering at the end of the president's remarks."

A small but spirited group of hecklers? They make it sound like unhappy cheerleaders attended!

2. What a load of BS!
The protesters clearly dominated the crowds both visibly and audibly. All of Penn Ave was lined with loudly booing patriots. There were thousands of anti-Bushit signs and people wearing orange.

4. CNN is reporting on the speech, not the parade
I'm surprised that any hecklers were allowed close enough the stage to be heard.

6. Carlos Watson (CNN) said Bush's speech was very internationalist!
.LOL That's how he interprets Bush's belicose, threatening of all the countries he deems undemocratic?....Internationalist?.....That's like calling a rapist overly affectionate!

11. Is that a word that can be used as a modifier? It's
not in my dictionary. Must we all speak bad English to understand them? Shouldn't he have said that Bush's speech was international in its tone, or something like that?

3. I was reading on msn i think only hundreds were there protesting
did you notice that all the pictures of protesters were close up so fewer showed in the frame and with the others the shots were taken to get the most people they could. I thought it was intersting. Thank you to the people who were able to go and protest...

7. typical media bullshit techniques to make the protesters irrelevant!
It really is fascinating- they show the edge of a larger crowd where there are only a few people. They show 1 or 2 really straggly-looking hippie college kids. They say "hundreds" when we all know that AT LEAST 150 people took buses from each state (that's the wisconsin estimate anyways). That's THOUSANDS FOLKS!!

I can't watch today- I turned on CSPAN for a few seconds.

Did they show any backs turning?
