Please stop the nonsense about Jenna's lipstick and Laura's dress
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 08:17 PM by linazelle
And George's expressions. That is the least we need to be paying attention to. Furthermore, it seems petty, childish and small. There are way more important issues that should be getting attention here.

That is all.

1. "Childless"???
Surely, smearing the non-reproductive is not the way to go.

11. Precisely
This is our FU to their Let Them Eat Cake. As long as they are going to flaunt their clothes and their obscene spectacle in the face of the shame and ruin they have brought on this nation, I reserve my right to ridicule their clothes. Please, leave us some pleasure in life. It's a tragic, horrible day.

You're not going to silence the fashion critics here. We need the distraction.

(with apologies to people who do live in trailers).

Thanks. I live in a trailer.
However, watching the parade today, I kept having these urges to put the trash out on the curb. There was so much of it marching down the avenue today in D. C..

16. And....Laura does "Walmart Fashion" and TV Pundit's SWOON!
Like Hillary and the rest dressed like "Goodwill?" Frankly some of Laura's stuff would make "Goodwill" blush.

And, btw...there's some neat stuff at "Goodwill." With America on "BUYING STEROIDS" the folks in Laura's sphere of friends give all their "good stuff" worn to the "big donor parties" to "Goodwill" or "Ritzy Consignment Shops" anyway. So don't buy "NEW!" Go to the "Second Hand Rose Shops," and you will beat them every time. :D

31. John Riggins was a Washington Redskins football player, that
told Sandra she should "loosen up", while sitting at her table at a Washington State dinner. He then laid down under the table and passed out. He was obviously not impressed with her, nor am I.

23. Did you ever hear of a show named MST 3000?
I LOVED that show.
And since we have to watch the sick, shallow, B-rated (ok,D-rated)pathetic freak show that is the *'s, we deserve the right to make snarky comments until we are allowed to return to Earth.

24. Why can't we do both?
I must admit; I laughed til I cried (several times) while
reading the thread last night regarding Laura's latest
"curtain call".

Laughter, it's the best medicine in the world for what ails
you, both emotionally and physically. Try it sometime.

29. Yes, thank you.
If we dwell in the serious all the time, we get burned out. Laughter is a natural stress-reliever for humans. This does not make us bad people, just human.

26. Oh, come on
There's a tremendous variety of topics to discuss here, and the dress thread's fun - or it was last night. I haven't laughed that much since the EXTREME JESUS™ thread. And I strongly disapprove of gender-based disparaging remarks about conservative women. There's a lot of stuff on that thread that's offensive to me, but Laura's dress? It's horrible, and I had a really good time trashing it.

We don't have to be a bunch of sticks in the mud.

But sweetie, that's definately self-inflicted!
