Wolfowitz says higher Iraqi death toll is sign of success
See report at: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/050120/1/3pz6t.html

(snip)

The number two Pentagon official said reducing American casualties in Iraq was more important than bringing US troops back home -- and pointed to the rising Iraqi death toll as evidence this strategy was working.

...Paul Wolfowitz said in an interview with PBS television's "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" program. "And it is worth saying that since June 1, there have been more Iraqi police and military killed in action than Americans."

(snip)

What the hell is this psychotic neo-crazy talking about? Palming of the killing to the Iraqis in a civil war?

But what about this:

The United States is also being urged by Britain to announce a possible timetable for the withdrawal of troops, a London-based newspaper said.

British officials believe that the time has come to give an "indicative timetable" for departure over the next 18 months or so, the Daily Telegraph said Thursday, citing unnamed sources.

There are two big revelations: ""If we had been wrong the other way and if the threat had really been imminent and we had been hit with an anthrax attack here that was tied to Iraq and the president had done nothing about it, what would people then say?"

And there is mention of an independent 911 commission. What is this?

3. Expect Stalinesque logic from a neo-con ideologue
The good party member is incapable of seeing reality. Whatever he says no matter how stupid or unreasonable is the new party line. And the two will never be confused.

4. Yes, if those rockets had only been aimed one floor higher.
Or if Wolfie had just taken a room one floor down. Then the death toll could have gone up by just one and we would all be much safer.
