1. There's a word missing between

THE & WAR. The word is CIVIL.
It should read:
"JOIN THE CIVIL WAR AGAINST TERRORISM"

The terrorist control our own government and to stop terrorism, we must regain control of our own government..

2. I think you missed the point of the poster...

that is not just any person reaching out for your help, it is a German soldat from WWII. If those are a translation of the original words from the poster, it is essentially saying "Help us destroy the lives of those nations which we attack, and if you fight us, you are a terrorist".
