5. Hola, Lisa,
Was nice to meet you and your friends too! I think it is interesting that Buddy and group are forming a Louisiana Activist Network. It's nice to sit here at the computer and gripe about repugs/bush, and attend "meet-up" group meetings to debate how to get things done, but it's just as important to get out there and physically demonstrate to the public that half the nation actively disapprove of the direction in which this nation is being led/changed.

Being older, I can remember when people finally "took to the streets" during the Viet Nam War and Civil Rights eras, and how seeing those protests over a period of time changed the thinking of an insulated public citizenry. Now, if we can only get the MSM to cooperate and start reporting our activities, and MISREPRESENTING our numbers! The revolution will be televised, but will be underreported and misrepresented. I was surprised when one DUer posted here that our demonstration was ineffectual, just street theater, and that we needed to be in Washington DC, being sprayed with pepper spray. It is my belief that all protests are effective in some way, whether it be to unite like-thinking individuals or to demonstrate to the public. Oh well, you can't please everyone, I guess.
