Some good progressive mags?
Could someone point me to some intelligent progressive magazines? And which ones are hard right? Thanks.

1. I find the Progressive Magazine to be
interesting. I like Molly Ivins and Michael Rothschild a lot. Here is their web site.

Many others are also good and often advertize in the above publications.

11. More like a newspaper
http://www.populist.com/ just changed over from once a month to every two weeks. No ads. Reader supported. Hightower, Ivins, Moore, Palast, Nader, Jesse Jackson, Huffington are frequent voices in this paper.
You can read most of each edition at the linked site. It would be helpful to subscribe so they could reach a larger base. I pass each issue off to whoever leans a little bit to the right.

13. I may check it out, but I don't lean "to the right" at all.
I lean left, and usually way left.

17. For Leftie Christians
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 08:37 AM by Jeff in Cincinnati
Sojourner provides some great stuff. Jim Wallis is the Executive Editor, and he has a new book out called "God's Politics: Why the Rights Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get It." I've read excerpts and it seems pretty interesting.

Link to Wallis appearing on "The Daily Show." My favorite part? Wallis points out that there are 3,000 verses in the Bible about poverty, but Republicans think abortion and gay marriage are the only moral values.

20. The New Yorker
I read The Nation until 2000, when they did a vicious cover story hatchet job on Gore and I cancelled my subscription.
