Purdee Please.. DU this Anchorage Poll?

Our extremely unpopular Governor of Alaska (Frank Murkowski, approval rating something like 36% :puke: ) has an Attorney General (Gregg Renkes) who was recently busted for major ethics violations.. (in a nutshell, he was trying to set up a deal for Alaska with a Taiwanese Corporation that HE himself held hundreds of thousands of dollars in.

Our dippy Governor selected some bias schmuck to investigate the ethics complaint and is trying to get Renkes off scott-free. Democrats plan to fight the case to the bitter end though! :)

In the meantine.. our largest TV station is asking what our Governor should do with him. Terminate him, reprimand him, or nothing at all..

I was SHOCKED and APPALLED when I watched the Channel 2 news tonight and saw that Renkes had been given a pass on this deal, although I suppose we shouldn't expect anything less from an investigator appointed by the Guv, right? Happy to see that Croft, et al. aren't giving up the fight. I was going to vote on this poll anyway, but thanks for the easy link.

Nope.. not too surprising from Frank the Bank! Geez.. can you believe the Governor that we should have had??? Fran Ulmer would have ROCKED!

And with Murky's ((dismal)) approval ratings (even after having Frank Luntz come up here several times in an unsuccessful attempt to improve them), I'm sure that even many Repugs are upset that they voted for such a loser.

Eric Croft won't give up though! ;) .. He's a good guy! (Except his kid's hockey team beat the daylights out of my daughter's team a couple weeks ago!! x( )

I was visiting down in California on the day that Frank the Bank defeated Fran (don't worry - I voted absentee before I left), and I just cried and cried when I heard it on the news. She's such a gracious and SMART woman. You know, I love Alaska and Alaskans, by and large (I've been here since '75), but I sure wish they'd get their politics right. By the way, were you at the 1/20 protest?
