7. I almost did, but a cat barfed up a MASSIVE hairball, and...
... well, I cleaned it for a few minutes, sat grossed out for a few more, and then forgot to do it.

30. Funny thing about Clinton. Good speaker
but somehow memorable speeches seemed to elude him. Trying too hard?

One of his best ever actually was this years DNC. He almost woo'ed a Repub I met at Starbucks. She was excited by the end of that speech. She was so freaking amazed that he could have that effect.

JK elegant. Maybe, when he wasn't nerding out. Classy, hell yes.

36. Greatest since Roosevelt, no doubt about it..
JFK with more experience and caution, and a little less libido, a political necessity these days.

Frankly it's going to take somebody with Kerry's masochistic monomania to clean up Dumbya's mess and I really don't see who else is up to it.

28. Maybe not the best, but...
he was a damn fine candidate who earned my respect. I love the man, and wished that he could have been the one taking the Oath of Office on January 20. The man sure as hell wouldn't have spent $40 million on festivities, that's for sure.

34. You took the dare
Patently obvious to the most casual non-observer is the fact that Kerry lost the election. A category of "greatest candidates" should include only winners of the general election, seems a logical prerequisite to gain the title of "great."

Interesting how the Lounge includes threads that involve dares to post in general discussion. As if those that post in the GD group are threatening. Is this the general consensus?
