Right-Wing response to this?
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 12:58 PM by Damien
I noticed this article today (it's interesting). At a time when republicans are coming out so strongly for abstinance in schools, a study like this is fascinating.

1. Standard response:
The study just shows the greater need to promote abstinence and personal responsibility (which they define as abstinence).

2. This will only make the shrieking suburbanites more resolved
to try to cram abstinence programs down the throats of unwilling teenagers.

Harper's Magazine's February issue has excerpts from the abstinence teaching materials, thanks to Henry Waxman. That stuff is beyond appalling, dripping with right wing dogma, sexism, and disinformation.

No wonder there are more abortions being performed now than there were four years ago. Kids who rely on this stuff for facts are going to end up in trouble every time.
